Customers to pick charity of the year

Sainsbury’s in Kimberley wants its customers to nominate the store’s next ‘charity of the year’.

The supermarket in Greens Lane is asking customers to drop their ideas into a suggestion box at the front of the store. A brief description of the charity should be included.

Alternatively, people can suggest a charity online.

Last financial year the store raised money for the Ryan Lee Trust Fund.

Ryan died of a brain tumour and his mum Deb Lee set the trust up to raise money for specialist equipment so poorly children could live at home. The total amount raised over the year will be announced later this month.
