Cycle challenge for staff

Three staff from Ilkeston’s Marks and Spencers store raised played their part in raising more than £500,000 for cancer charities at a charity endurance bike ride.

Ben Litler, Jamie Townsend and Daniel Chapman took part in the event which saw them challenged to completing a 400 mile bike ride in 24 hours.

Ben said: “We’re still collecting sponsorship but so far Marks and Spencers have raised more than half a million.

“We’d like to thank Urban Air, Decathalon, Dames Metals, Zinda Metals, Rutland Cafe, Heritage Playing Card Co, Derwent Roofing, Ilkeston Joinery, Trugreen and Creed, for their support.”
