A DIAMOND couple celebrated their wedding anniversary at Moorlands Nursing Home in Brinsley.
Paul and Edith Baidalla were treated to a small party at the home to mark 60 years of marriage last Thursday.
Edith said: “My husband has got Dementia, but he knew something special was going on.
“It was lovely. The staff really did a very good job. It was really fantastic.”
The couple, from Germany, met shopping in Long Eaton having come over to England.
Edith said: “We didn’t see each other for a few months and then one day when I left work and there he was waiting at the bus stop for me.”
Paul used to be a butcher and went on to sell cars and Edith worked at Carters factory in Long Eaton.
