DIETERS in Nuthall did a joint ‘walking on the spot for ten minutes’ to raise money for charity.

Nuthall WeightWatchers members took on the challenge to highlight the health and weight loss benefits of doing a bit more exercise, and raised £85 for Tommy’s – the UK’s leading charity dedicated to giving babies a healthy start.

WeightWatchers leader Lucy Parker, who runs meetings in Nuthall said: “We challenged ourselves to see how far we could get by walking on the spot for 10 minutes, whilst calculating our miles on WeightWatchers pedometers and relating this to a local landmark.

“Activity has always been an essential part of our weight loss plan so to be able to give members the opportunity to find fun ways to increase activity levels and do it with their friends or family is crucial to helping to not only lose weight but keep it off.”

The group meet at the church hall in Back Lane.
