WE still need your Jubilee Jam Jars chock full of pennies to add to our special fundraising campaign in tribute to our Queen.
Last month the Advertiser teamed up with Broxtowe Borough Council with the aim to plant new trees in both Hall Om Wong Park in Kimberley and Coronation Park in Eastwood to mark the 60 year reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
But we still need the help of the community to fund the special trees and are asking you to donate the spare pennies you have stored in jam jars and pots in your homes.
Both the parks are Jubilee Parks, making them very fitting locations for the trees to mark the milestone anniversary.
We will be looking to raise around £200 as a first target but if we exceed that amount then the Advertiser may well ask readers to nominate other causes and charities to receive the cash.
If you wish to donate your jam jar of cash, no matter how big or how small, just bring it along to the Advertiser office in Heanor Road, Ilkeston, during our office opening times or take them to the Broxtowe Borough Council cash office in Nottingham Road, Eastwood.
