Drama group set for show

A DRAMA group in Kimberley is putting on a production of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Nottingham West Music and Drama Society (NOWMADS) will be staging the production at The Kimberley School theatre between February 22 and 25.

Amy Lishman will be taking on the title role of Jack Trot and the show will be produced and choreographed by her mum, Rosemary Lishman.

The cast will include Martin Belcher, Steve Clarke, Haydon Taylor, Graham Lambert, Kelly Wakefield, Gillian Williams, Emma Heydon, Tom Bailey and Adrian Ravenscroft.

There will be an additional performance on Saturday, February 26 at 5.30pm.

NOWMADS has been going for 33 years. Steve Clarke has been a member for 32 years and his sister Gillian Williams, for 30 years.

Steve, from Nuthall, is playing Dame Trot - the sixth time he has played a pantomime dame.

The group was nominated for two prestigious awards in 2008 – musical of the year and the best pantomime in the county.
