Early booze sell appeal

A SHIPLEY View supermarket has asked for permission to sell booze from 6am everyday.

The Co-op in Summerfields Way is currently licensed to sell alcohol from 8am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 10.30pm on Sundays.

Resident Neil Revill has objected because he is concerned the store will take deliveries earlier and disturb neighbours.

Police have said the store must install new CCTV before the change can be allowed.

Councillors on Erewash’s licensing committee will vote on the plan on Tuesday.
