An event was held at Beauvale Priory in Moorgreen to promote Eastwood and district as an area of cultural history and tourism.
The Eastwood Booktown Development Group hosted the event, which attracted nearly 800 people.
There were 50 craft tables, authors signing books, a ladies’ choir, readings throughout the day, fancy dress, a falconry display, circus skills workshops, face-painting and pony rides.
Eastwood Booktown Development Group looks to promote Eastwood as a place of cultural history, literacy and tourism, thereby increasing footfall into shops and food outlets in the town.
The event at the priory, which is pictured in full swing, was the first held by the group.
