More crimes have been reported in Eastwood over the last two weeks, compared to the same period last year.

In an Eastwood Town Council meeting on Monday, a report by PC Ross Clarke was read out where it was revealed that 18 crimes have been reported between October 1 and 14, compared with 13 in 2012.

The number of anti- social behaviour incidents reported has also increased with the number rising from nine last October, to 13 this October.

The report showed no burglaries were reported during the two week period last year or this year.

It also showed there has been a slight increase in assaults and a reduction of thefts.
