£8,000 sports award for Kimberley team

Cheque for Kimberley miners welfare fc ground. Neil Johnson chairman club, Danny Staley sec club, cllr John Cottee notts county council chairman culture committee and cllr Ken Rigby kimberley town council.

Kimberley Miners Welfare Football Club has won an £8,000 payout from Nottinghamshire County Council’s Sports Legacy Fund.

The cash will be spent on re-seeding the pitch, re-tiling the showers, refurbishing the changing rooms, extending the referees room, putting up high level fencing, new floodlights and repairing the pitch barrier.
