Activities scheme for local schools

SCHOOLS in Kimberley, Nuthall and Selston are set to benefit from a new programme of afterschool activities.

Fundsport UK have become extended services project managers for the area which means it will be responsible for creating breakfast clubs, lunchtime clubs and afterschool clubs alongside various sport options.

The company offers coaching and workshops in sport, music, dance and drama for children and parents.

The schools that will benefit include The Kimberley School, Kimberley Primary, Gilthill Primary, Horsendale Primary, Mornington Primary and Larkfields Infants and Juniors in Nuthall, Hollywell Primary in Selston and Awsworth Primary.

Fundsport was launched three years ago and already has contracts with schools in Eastwood, Arnold and Nottingham City.

Fundsport's Kimberley coordinator Camilla Denham said: "Knowing how things have developed in Arnold and Eastwood, it's an exciting opportunity and hopefully we can bring some positive things to Kimberley."
