An Ilkeston artist is appearing on Channel 4’s Countdown on Monday – but not as a contestant.

Ian King, exhibition secretary at Ilkeston Arts and Camera Club, gave presenter Rachel Riley his painting of her at Granada Studios, Manchester, during filming in May.

He sad: “Rachel was lovely, and spent ages chatting to me afterwards.”
