Beryl comes from Down Under for reunion

EX-PUPILS from Kimberley County Secondary School held their sixth reunion earlier this week.

Beryl MacLean came all the way from New Zealand for the party with 30 former school pals at Kimberley Cricket Club. The men and women spent five years at school together and left in 1959.

They all shared memories and paid tribute to former headmaster Frederick 'Doddy' Noon and teachers who helped shape their lives and inspire them for the future. There were displays of photographs, press cuttings and memorabilia.

Past pupils Ian Smith, Kate Hodgett (nee Kirk), Marilyn Wilson, Jean Jeffery (nee Codd), John Hind and Carol Bostock (nee Martin) organised the reunion.
