Brinsley Headstocks festival biggest yet

The Brinsley Headstocks Festival last weekend was a roaring success with more stalls and activities than ever before.

Founder of the Friends of Brinsley Headstocks Group Lisa Rainey said: “It was excellent. Really really good. The weather was lovely and it was a lot bigger than it’s been in previous years. The brass band played and everyone had a great time.”

There was archery, various displays and exhibitions and stalls selling everything from soap to clothes and jewellery.

There was a local bee keeper at the festival and a woman who rescues parrots.
