Carers are urged to get free advice

Unpaid carers in Eastwood and Kimberley are being encouraged to get the help they deserve this week.

NHS Notinghamshire County has launched a campaign to provide support to the 10,000 ‘hidden’ carers in the Broxtowe borough.

The campaign came to Kimberley on Monday, and is at The Hollies in Eastwood today, March 15 at 11am.

‘Who Cares, We Care’ has been launched by doctors from 12 GP practices in Broxtowe, who are encouraging carers to tell their GP they are caring for someone.

A double-decker bus will be visiting town centres and supermarkets manned by health and social care staff. Carers are urged to go along.
