A two day charity bonanza at the Durham Ox pub in Brinsley raised more than £1,000 for MacMillan Cancer Support.

Debbie Graham and her team of fundraisers brought Benidorm singer Brendan Murray over to perform at the charity weekend which included stalls, games and raffles.

Over the years the group has raised £30,000 for MacMillan.

Fundraiser Sue Smith said: “The landlord of the Durham Ox has helped out this cause immensely and has pulled out all the stops.

“Nothing has been too much trouble for him or his staff.”
