Charity manager calls on volunteers

The manager of a charity in Kimberley is calling on volunteers to set up a local fundraising group.

Janette Martindale who runs Marie Curie Cancer Care wants to launch the ‘Eastwood and Kimberley Fundraising Group’.

She said volunteers would organise fundraising activities and collections, encourage new volunteers to help the charity and support Marie Curie’s major fundraising campaigns such as the Great Daffodil Appeal.

Ms Martindale said: “It would make an enormous difference locally.”
