Children across Eastwood and Kimberley donated food to help those most in need for this year’s Harvest Giving.

At Hollywell Primary School in Kimberley, kids brought in tins and packets of food to be donated to the Trussell Trust, an organisation that distributes food to the poor and needy.

The children and their families were so generous with donations that after the harvest assembly, a sale was held with left over cakes and parents stayed for coffee and a chat.

Meanwhile, Eastwood MP Gloria De Piero visited Brinsley Primary School, who were collecting food to give to the Eastwood Volunteer Bureau.

She took along tins of food, and spent time visiting each class in the school meeting all of the pupils and teachers.

Toddlers at Cherubs Day Nursery in Kimberley also marked the occaision by dressing up as farmers or animals for the day and collected food on behalf of homeless charity, Framework.
