SCHOOL children dressed up as characters from the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as part of a term-long project.
Kids at Greasley Beauvale Primary School chose ‘chocolate’ as their topic for the Spring term this year, and getting dressed up as characters from Roald Dahl’s most famous story was just one of many activities they have done so far.
The seven- and eight year-olds have also been designing and making their own chocolate products and learning all about the history of chocolate.
Children at Greasley Beauvale chose their own curriculum title each term.
Deputy headteacher Russell Gray said: “The fun of dressing up as their favourite characters is just one of the many ways that the children can explore and develop their understanding of this much-loved author’s writing.”
