Consultation begins

A public consultation about plans to close down ambulance stations across Nottinghamshire launches this week.

The consultation run from the beginning of this week to December 17.

East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) plans to close every station except two and create 122 ‘tactical depoyment points’ as bases for paramedics. Copies of the consultation document are online at www.emas.nhs.uk.

EMAS said the proposals will make the service more efficient. People can email beingthebest@emas.nhs.uk or call 0800 917 9911.
