Girls celebrate thinking day

editorial image

Brownies in Brinsley held a belated ceremony to mark ‘World thinking Day’ – an important date in the Scouts and Guides calendar that marks the birthday of Lord Baden Powell, who founded the movements.

The group originally planned celebrations to take place last month, but it was called off due to bad weather.

The event was described as ‘highly important’ by the Brownies’ leadership team who felt it was ‘better late than never’.

Brownies renewed their promises during a short ceremony which saw the traditional lighting of a candle.
