Help getting on the property ladder

A scheme to help first time buyers get on the property ladder has been launched.

In partnership with Lloyds TSB, Derbyshire County Council launched the Lend a Hand scheme this week, which will help first time buyers get mortgages.

The scheme offers those eligible a mortgage with a preferential interest rate if they can raise a five per cent deposit.
