James Street in Kimberley is part of the town centre conservation area and retains its Victorian charm.

It houses the old substation from the tram, that ran between 1913 and 1932.

The Hucknall Co-operative Society used to be where the car park is. This was a ladies and gents outfitters, a butchers and, above, a community hall.
