Jigsaw sale for festival band

A CHARITY group is selling jigsaw puzzles to raise money for a brass band to appear at two events later this year.

Communities Against Poverty will be selling jigsaws in the foyer of Eastwood Post Office this Saturday, February 4, between 9.30am and 12noon to raise money for the Eastwood Arts Festival and the Brinsley Headstocks Festival.

Organiser Angela Smith said: “We have had a donation of more than 80 jigsaws and we’ll be selling them all at 50p each.

“The lady who donated them has kindly checked that all the pieces are there.”

The group will also be doing a ‘win a prize every time’ tombola at £1 a go.

Money raised will go towards paying for a brass band to appear in Eastwood on June 23 and Brinsley on September 9.
