Schools in Nuthall and Kimberley packed up boxes full of gifts for the poor this Christmas.
Pupils at Larkfield Infant School in Nuthall and Hollywell Primary School in Kimberley collected toys, gloves and scarves, sweets and toiletries for the Operation Christmas Child appeal.
Boxes are made up each year by various schools and groups across the country and are posted out to poor countries world-wide. Together the two schools packed up over 100 boxes.
Office worker at Hollywell, Lois Wilde, said: “We feel very proud of our children who have given up their spending money, or used their savings to buy the contents for the box and spent their time to package them all so attractively.”
