Kids taken to court
A pupils from Springbank Primary tries a barrister's wig on for size.
SCHOOL children were taken on a trip to the Galleries of Justice in Nottingham to discourage them away from crime.
The visit included special interactive sessions focusing on vandalism, anti-social behaviour, arson, hate crime and cyber bullying where pupils are made aware of the criminal justice system.
Pupils from Springbank Primary School, had to write their own mock trial, perform it and decide on the outcome.
Headteacher Julie Vaccari said: “The visits are invaluable. The drama and role play sessions enable the children to experience how unpleasant and scary a criminal trial can be.”
