Kimberley is a wonderful place with so much to do
Taste of Success: Nygel Stevenson of the Madhatters Tea Rooms in Kimberley.
In recent years Kimberley has had thousands of pounds spent on its streets and parks, making it a picturesque little town to visit.
In a beautiful setting surrounded by some of Nottinghamshire’s finest countryside, Kimberley is full of tiny winding Victorian streets.
The farmers’ market, which just celebrated its third anniversary, brings the community together each month with a huge variety of stalls, and new shops have recently opened up in the town, including Adams Apple grocers.
Madhatters Tea Room has done a roaring trade since it opened earlier this year, and from next month it will be open until 7pm.
Owner Nygel Stevenson said: “I am extending my hours because people are actually asking me to. Kimberley has got a bright future.
“It’s a lovely little town. Since I have been here we’ve now got a new fruit shop opened up, and another cake shop, it’s wonderful. People are moving into Kimberley and saying it’s a great place to be.
“You don’t need to go into Nottingham now. There’s ladies boutiques, gift shops and all sorts.”
