Langley Mill attack

A man was assaulted after having an argument with a gang of youths in the early hours of last Sunday morning.

The 30-year-old was walking with his father along Station Road, Langley Mill, opposite The Jockey pub at 1.10am, when a dispute erupted between him and a gang of teenagers sat nearby.

A police spokesman said heated words were exchanged between the groups and the man was pulled to the floor, kicked and punched, leaving him with with cuts and bruises to his face.

Police are now trying to trace the mixed-sex gang.
