Langley Mill kitchen fire

A man was taken to hospital after a fire broke out in his kitchen in Langley Mill on Thursday.

Crews from Heanor and Ilkeston were called to Queen Street at 8.30pm where the cooker fire was out but the house was heavily smoke-logged.

Firefighters isolated the gas and electric and gave first aid to the man. The property was damped down and ventilated.
