Lorry watch launched

A LORRY Watch scheme is being launched in Nuthall today, Friday, February 17.

Lorries will be monitored to see if they are flouting weight restriction rules, put in place in Larkfield Road.

A launch event will take place with local dignitaries, and volunteers who will be monitoring the traffic this morning at 10am.

Any breaches will be passed on to Trading Standards for legal enforcement, who will then come in and monitor the roads to catch the lorry drivers responsible.

Guilty drivers will be fined £1,000.

Weight restrictions were put in place in Larkfield Road because of the volume of traffic passing.
