Madaline marks her 100th with family

Madaline Perkins celebrated her 100th birthday in the company of her two daughters, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Madaline lived in Nuthall for 75 years before moving to Nottingham to live in a care home.

She said the secret to a long life was being active, eating healthily and having love and kindness from your family.

“Their love and kindness kept me young,” she said.

The birthday girl worked as a textile machinest at Saxbys and enjoyed walking, swimming and dancing.
