Make use of new pitches
Staff at Kimberley Leisure Centre are encouraging sport groups to make use of their synthetic sport pitches which have recently been refurbished.
The full-size synthetic turf pitch, which opened two years ago, can be booked for football, cricket and hockey matches and can be split in to three separate seven-a-side training pitches.
It has already been used to successfully host a number of regional events including the popular Priory Celtic Annual Girls Football tournament and Nottingham Forest Football Club's children's soccer camp.
There are also three five-a-side synthetic turf training pitches which have recently been refurbished. All have dedicated outdoor changing rooms with separate facilities for referees and people with disabilities.
Assistant manager Sean Matthews said: "They are prestige facilities to be used and we are trying to generate interest."
The pitches are managed and maintained by the centre staff and are checked and cleaned regularly to maintain service standards.
Kimberley Leisure Centre is signposted off Main Street.
