MP holds coffee mornings
EASTWOOD MP Gloria De Piero is planning to hold coffee mornings to spend more time with her constituents.
The Ashfield and Eastwood MP hosted her first coffee mornings last Saturday in Sutton-in-Ashfield and plans to come to Eastwood on November 6.
Miss De Piero said: “The only way I can represent people is to be in constant touch with them. People don’t need to have a problem to come along.
“I am all too aware that too many people only see politicians at election time. I want to change that.”
The coffee mornings are by invitation only and Miss De Piero hopes that 75,000 constituents will have had an invitation to their local neighbourhood coffee morning by the time of the next election.
