New guide group gets cash boost

A new Girl Guide group has been set up in Nuthall and two local councillors have donated £500 in support.

Both Cllr Ken Rigby, who represents Kimberley, and Cllr Philip Owen, who represents Nuthall on Notts County Council, handed the girls cheques for £250 to pay for camping equipment, stationery and cooking utensils.

The group meets at Kettlebrook Lodge, Kimberley, and St Patrick’s Church, Nuthall. Call 0800 169 5901 to join.
