Nova’s milestone anniversary

Popular Brownie leader Nova Scrimshaw has marked a special 25-year anniversary.

A surprise party was held for Nova, who has been at the helm of the 1st Eastwood Brownies for a quarter of a century. Held at the Dora Philips Hall, there were cards, a cake, songs and special tributes.

Nova joined the group herself as a young girl in 1961. She lives in Newthorpe and has two grandchildren.
