Partnership work to ease congestion

A bus company is looking at ways to rectify congestion problems in Eastwood town centre.

Trent Barton said it would look at ways to help the queues of traffic in Nottingham Road after people in the town complained about congestion caused by buses stopping for too long outside the library and Sweet News.

Eastwood Town Council met with Trent Barton at the end of last month to discuss the complaints, and town Mayor Brian Griffin said the two organisations were ‘working together to resolve the issue’.

“Several suggestions of ways to resolve the issue have been put forward. We are working together,” he said.
