Popular bonfire events in towns

Bonfire night celebrations will be take place in Eastwood and Kimberley this weekend.

In Eastwood people can enjoy a bonfire and fireworks at the town’s cricket club from 7pm and in Kimberley, the annual event at Kettlebrook Lodge will be hosted by the town’s Scout group.

Starting at 7pm, there will be fireworks, hot food and a bar and disco.

Scout group secretary Jane Maltby said: “It’s a really great community event. We get hundreds there every year.

“I think it’s partly because we only charge £2 entry and children are free to get in.”
