NEAABE120208e1sch, Awsworth primary school pupils take part in a sign singing world record attempt.

PUPILS raised their singing voices and learned sign language to take part in a world record attempt.

Children at Awsworth Primary and Nursery School packed out the hall ready to sing and sign at 2.45pm – exactly the same time as other participating schools across the country.

Linda Stokes, teaching assistant, said: “The pupils were all really excited. We had a countdown ready for the record attempt and they all really enjoyed learning to sing and sign the song.

“Fingers crossed there were more than the 94,000 taking part last year.”
