Retirement for headteacher

editorial image

Glowing tributes have been paid to popular headteacher Brian Summers who has retired from Nuthall’s Horsendale Primary School after 20 years.

Staff organised a surprise assembly for Mr Summers, inviting friends, family and colleagues past and present.

People sang a medley of his favourite songs and a DVD was shown focussing his life over the years.

Staff described Mr Summers as a great family man, brilliant headteacher and friend to all.

Mr Summers made a speach about his ‘fantastic staff’ who had helped the school achieve an oustanding Ofsted two years ago.
