Road closures for triathlon

More than 300 competitors will take part in today’s Erewash Triathlon.

As part of the popular event, Wilsthorpe Road in Long Eaton will be closed from 6.30am-1.30pm between Wilsthorpe Island and West Park Leisure Centre.

Diversions will be in place along Derby Road and Tamworth Road. The Leisure Centre car park will not be open until after 1.30pm on the day.

The triathlon will see athletes complete a 400m pool swim, a 5km run and a 10-mile bike ride around Erewash.
