Selston death is not suspicious

THE death of a pensioner at his home in Selston on Thursday is not being treated as suspicious by police.

Officers were called to the house on Church Lane by an ambulance crew at around 9.30am

The man is believed to be the householder, aged in his 70s, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

A cordon remained in place around the property until Friday as a burglary may have taken place at the house after the man’s death.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and he has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone with any information should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
