Selston GCSE grades

At a time when national GCSE results fell Selston Arts and Community College achieved record grades.

93 per cent of students achieved five A* to C grades – compared to the average of 69.4 per cent.

Headetacher Kevin Gaiderman said: “We are extremely pleased with these results.

They represent some of our best ever student performances.”

70 per cent of pupils got a C or above in English and 73 per cent got at least a C in Maths – both figures up from last year, by four per cent and eight per cent respectively.

Across Nottinghamshire 88 per cent of pupils five A* to C grades.
