Advertiser editor Peter Hemmett will this month be taking part in Movember – a charity event aimed at raising awareness of male cancers.

The annual charity craze sees particapants grow moustaches throughout November and we want to see your best efforts.

Many men across the area will no doubt be taking part in Movember and we want to show our readers how you are getting on to help you boost your fundraising total.

The idea is that men taking part beome walking, talking billboards during the 30 days of Movember for men’s health issues which are often overlooked.

Last year the UK raised over £22m through Movember.

Mr Hemmett said: “Cancer is a disease which effects a lot of familes but male cancers such as prostate and testicular are quite often forgotten about and this is a great way of raising cash and awareness of these diseases.

“So if you are taking part, why not show us your ‘taches and we will share your donation details with our readers to help raise even more vital cash.”
