Spate of burglaries hits Brinsley folk

Police have reported a spate of burglaries in Brinsley.

There has been three break-ins this month - more than the number reported last year.

On January 1 burglars broke into a house in Clumber Avenue by forcing a door panel. Dogs scared them off and nothing was taken.

Two weeks later intruders got into a house mid-afternoon in Mansfield Road, again forcing a door panel. Property was stolen but later recovered. Two people were arrested shortly afterwards and charged. A third offender is still outstanding, say police.

The final burglary was January 23 where burglars got through an unlocked door and stole the car keys and the car.
