Spate of car crime across Giltbrook

Thieves damaged the locks to break into three cars in Giltbrook last week.

The offenders damaged the door locks on all three vehicles, which were parked on the owners’ driveways.

Beat manager for Giltbrook Dean Spalding said if anybody sees anything suspicious they should call police. He also advised making a note of offenders’ registration plates.

All three incidents happened between 10pm on March 5 and 7am the following morning.

Two of the vehicles targeted were Peugeot.

“If possible park your vehicle in your garage and invest in outside security lighting which would come on and deter thieves,” added Pc Spalding.
