Sporty family fun and sun for kids in Nuthall

editorial image

Nuthall Parish Council organised a big family fun day at the Basil Russell Recreation Ground to make up for its rained-off Jubilee event.

In a year of Olympic and Paralympic success, sport played a big part in the day with tennis, bowls and Kwik Cricket attracting interest from people of all ages and abilities.

There was Hoop-la, three giant inflatables, space hoppers and an opportunity for parents to relax and let their kids run free in an organised environment.

Parish council clerk Sue Stack said: “It was good to see so many people at the event all joining in together and creating a lovely friendly atmosphere.”
