Survey on waste future
A CONSULTATION about how we should tackle waste over the next 20 years has been launched by Nottinghamshire County Council.
The council is asking the public to have their say on waste generated by commerce, industry and households in the consultation which starts on September 3.
Existing landfill sites are filling up quickly, but other options such as incineration may have drawbacks such as cost. They may also be less sustainable in the longer-term.
Every year four million tonnes of waste is generated in Nottinghamshire. The majority of this is from commerce and industry rather than households.
