The fourth headstock festival this weekend

The Brinsley Headstocks Festival takes place this Sunday.

The Friends of Brinsley Headstocks, who work to maintain the area, have organised their fourth festival, which will take place between 11am and 6pm.

There will be country and brass bands, archery, various displays and exhibitions and stalls selling everything from soap to clothes and jewellery.

A local beekeeper and a woman who rescues parrots will be there as well as kids from Brinsley Primary School.

Lisa Rainey, one of the members of the Friends of Brinsley Headstocks, said it was a great community event. “With the Brinsley carnival finishing it’s a great community event for everyone in the village,” she said.
