Tin Hat Centre’s 10th birthday

Staff and volunteers at Selston’s Tin Hat Centre celebrated the facility’s 10th birthday last week.

To mark the occasion, a Christmas fayre was held at the community centre, which featured a number of stalls as well as food and refreshments.

Ashfield MP Gloria De Piero was also given a tour of the popular community facility.

The Tin Hat Centre is currently home to a Nottinghamshire Police Community Contact Point, a community cafe, an IT suite, which includes free wi-fi throughout the centre. All facilities are available to hire.

The Tin Hat Centre provides various courses for the community including First Aid, food hygiene, flower arranging, Tai Chi and a variety of IT courses run by West Notts College.

In addition, there is a community cafe serving food between 9am-3pm.
