Town’s Blue Line Trail set for facelift

A heritage trail dedicated to DH Lawrence is set for a £3,000 facelift.

Broxtowe Borough Council wants to repaint and renovate the Blue Line Trail around Eastwood.

The trail links the DH Lawrence Heritage Centre with the four Lawrence family homes in Eastwood and six other Lawrence-related sites.

Sections of it have been affected by road and utility works, while others are crumbling away.

A report set to go before councillors states there are plans in place to host community events along the trail.

Repainting of the trail is necessary not only to accommodate these events, but also to maintain the attraction.
